How is ADHD treated?
Treatment begins with hope. Hope that someone understands and will try to help.
Five core areas are common to most treatments:
- Education: Knowledge about ADHD is vital. We provide resources to foster this learning process.
- Medication: An imbalance of certain neurotransmitters may result in ADHD symptoms. Stimulants and non-stimulants help correct this balance and are found helpful to decrease the symptoms of ADHD. Our physicians are experts at prescribing these medications.
- Psychotherapy: Anxiety, depression, and isolation commonly occur along with ADHD. Our therapists can help individuals or families mitigate the impact of symptoms.
- Coaching: Our coaches help get and keep you organized, improving the efficiency of your work.
Adults with ADHD often find themselves struggling with all their strength, ingenuity and resilience just to keep afloat. They may have lost any hope of things getting better.
At On Task, we believe that life can be joyful, fun and fulfilling. Even for those with ADHD.
Even for you
